Good News
Jesus says, "by your perseverance, you will secure your lives." Jesus speaks of the last days and what will take place. He says we must hold out until the very end.

CCD NEWS - First Penance Class this Sunday Nov. 18th from 10:15 - 11:45 AM. Regular classes will be held Sunday, Dec. 2nd at Holy Spirit. Grades 1-6 will meet from 10:15 - 11:45 AM, Grades 7-8-9 meet from 6:00 - 7:30 PM. The Confirmation class will not meet.

We celebrate Thanksgiving Day this coming Thursday. It is a time to give thanks to God for all He gives us. Mass will be at Holy Spirit at 8 AM.

Next Sunday is the feast of Christ the King - the last Sunday in Ordinary Time before we begin Advent. On Sunday afternoon, we will have an Anointing Service at 3 PM in Holy Spirit church. All who are ill should be anointed.

Next weekend, "Oplatki" or Christmas wafers will be available before and after Masses. A package costs $4.00.

To all who remembered your pastor with cards and best wishes on his birthday, thank you and God bless you for your kindness.

ANNUAL APPEAL FOR THE RETIREMENT FUND FOR RELIGIOUS will be on the weekend of Dec. 8th and 9th. Please be generous.

OUR 100TH ANNIVERSARY - through Dec. 16th, a Scratch Ticket will be sold to 150 people only on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a variety of prizes awarded on Dec. 16th. Tickets are $20 each.

The parish is in need of a bi-monthly housekeeper for the rectory. If interested, please see Fr. Tom as soon as possible.

November/December Parish Project - celebrating our 100th Anniversary, we will be collecting 100 items for the CAC in Gardner. They will be given to the CAC after Christmas or as soon as 100 of them are collected. Please help St. Joseph provide for the poor of Gardner. Donations (any non-perishable food) can be left in the boxes provided at the back of the church. Thank you.

St. Martin's Holiday Fair is Dec. 1st from 9-3 and Dec. 2nd from 9-1 at the American Legion Hall in Baldwinville. Highlights of the two day fair are a major raffle, Chinese auction, a "Polish auction" featuring more than 40 themed gift baskets, crafts, a Christmas table, baked goods, etc. Lunch, coffee and pastries will be available.

Museum Exhibit - we are looking for pictures, sacramental certificates, programs from past parish events and anything else that we might use in our upcoming exhibit at the Gardner Museum. If anyone has an item of interest, please contact Ann at 978-632-7638. Deadline for submittal is Dec. 16th. The exhibit will be opening in the Spring 2008.
