Good News
Jesus came to seek and save what was lost. A tax collector named Zacchaeus, who was small in stature, wanted to see Jesus. Jesus stayed at his house and told him he was a son of Abraham. We are all sons and daughters of the Lord and we try to do His will.

CCD NEWS - First Penance class to meet Nov. 4th at Holy Spirit from 10:15 - 11:45 AM. Regular classes will be held Sunday, Nov. 11th at Holy Spirit. Grades 1-6 will meet from 10:15 - 11:45 AM, Grades 7-8-9 meet from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, Confirmation class, students and sponsors 4:00-7:00 PM.

OUR 100TH ANNIVERSARY - beginning today through Dec. 16th, a "Scratch Ticket" will be sold to 150 people only on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a variety of prizes awarded on Dec. 16th. Tickets are $20 each.

WHIST PARTY - on Sun. Nov. 4th at 6:00 PM. Doors open at 5.

Fall Fair - prizes may be picked up on Monday, Nov. 5th from 6:30 - 7:30 PM in the church hall.

Parish Council will meet Mon., Nov. 12th at 6:30 PM in the church hall.

November/December Parish Project - celebrating our 100th Anniversary, we will be collecting 100 items for the CAC in Gardner. They will be given to the CAC after Christmas or as soon as 100 of them are collected. Please help St. Joseph provide for the poor of Gardner. Donations (any non-perishable food) can be left in the boxes provided at the back of the church. Thank you.

Holy Cross Church in E. Templeton will be holding its annual Market Place Bazaar on Sat. Nov. 17th from 9-3. Tables include Grandma's Kitchen, Upper Crust, Crafter's Delight, Basketville, Clever Hands, Chinese Auction, etc. The Tea Room will serve refreshments and a Thanksgiving basket will be raffled. From the Catholic School Office, Diocese of Worcester- "on behalf of more than 9,000 students who attend Catholic Schools throughout the diocese, thank you to the parishioners of St. Joseph Parish for their generous support of the 2007 appeal for Catholic Schools this past September. Thank you for your continued support of these schools and we ask that you please keep all those who study, pray and teach in them in your prayers."

Museum Exhibit - we are looking for pictures, sacramental certificates, programs from past parish events and anything else that we might use in our upcoming exhibit at the Gardner Museum. If anyone has an item of interest, please contact Ann at 978-632-7638. Deadline for submittal is Dec. 16th. The exhibit will be opening in the Spring 2008.
