Good News
Jesus meets lepers on the way to Jerusalem. Only one gives thanks that he was cured, the others just kept going. In our everyday dealing with people, let us be kind and say a "thank you" to those who are helpful.

CCD NEWS - classes to be held this Sunday, Oct. 14th at Holy Spirit. Grades 1-6 will meet from 10:15 - 11:45 AM, Grades 7-8-9 meet from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, Confirmation Retreat students 1:00-7:00 PM, Parents and sponsors 4:00 PM.

Today, Saturday, we honor the Founders of this parish. To dream and have that dream come true is a blessing. The people of St. Joseph from 1908 to the present keep dreaming for a better tomorrow to build up the community.

Mon. Oct 15, a Meeting of the Parish Council will be held at 6:30 in the church hall

This coming week, the cupola on the church will be stripped and refinished with new gold leaf. More information next week.

Next weekend, a representative from Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in Worcester will be selling books from the materials we gave her last year. This book is a collection from every Polish Parish in the diocese. The book costs $19.95. Please purchase a copy.

Please remember to turn in your census forms as soon as possible.

Anyone wanting Masses for next year, please see Fr. Tom before or after Mass. If you have a special date, reserve it now.

FALL FAIR to be held on Nov. 3rd from 9 - 2 in the church hall. Theme tables are Christmas, Harvest, Holiday and Children's along with a bake sale and Chinese auction. All tables are in need of donations (including monetary donations). The children's table asks that NEW games, puzzles, books, or stuffed animals be donated. SImply label your donation and leave it in the church hall. All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

GATHER US IN 2007 will take place on Nov. 3 at the DCU Center, 50 Foster St., Worcester. All diocesan women and guests are invited to participate in this day-long event featuring presentations and workshops on women's maturing spirituality. Joyce Rupp and Antoinette Bosco will be the keynote speakers. The $45 registration fee includes lunch. The day will close with Mass celebrated by Bishop McManus. Museum Exhibit - we are looking for pictures, sacramental certificates, programs from past parish events and anything else that we might use in our upcoming exhibit at the Gardner Museum. If anyone has an item of interest, please contact Ann at 978-632-7638. Deadline for submittal is Dec. 16th. The exhibit will be opening in the Spring 2008.
