Good News
Today's gospel is that of the Pharisee and the tax collector. How do we look at people and ourselves? Do we judge them? The Lord saw the tax collector was sorry for all he did and was justified. The Pharisee thought he was above everyone - he was not justified. Let us look at ourselves and see how we fail, but ask the Lord to help us.

CCD NEWS - classes to be held Sunday, Oct. 28th at Holy Spirit. Grades 1-6 will meet from 10:15 - 11:45 AM, Grades 7-8-9 meet from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, Confirmation class 4:00-7:00 PM.

We thank Mrs. Norrinne Sadowski and her crew for a wonderful Polish supper held on Oct. 13th for Founders Day. The total raised was $1257.00. Thank you and God bless.

This Sunday, Oct. 28th is World Priest Day. Pray for your priests and for vocations. We are a special group to serve the people of God.

This coming Thurs. is a Holyday of Obligation - All Saints Day. Mass will be Wed. Oct. 31st at 5 PM and Thurs. at 7:30 AM at St. Joseph. Holy Spirit Parish will have 9 AM and 7 PM on Thurs.

Because we celebrate All Souls Day on Friday, two Masses will be said, one beginning at 7:30 AM followed by 8 AM. Please pray for your loved ones. Holy Spirit church will have a 7 PM Mass.

This coming week is First Friday of the month.

OUR 100TH ANNIVERSARY - beginning Nov. 3rd & 4th through Dec. 16th, a "Scratch Ticket" will be sold to 150 people only on a first come, first serve basis. There will be a variety of prizes to be awarded on Dec. 16th. Tickets are $20 each.

WHIST PARTY - on Sun. Nov. 4th at 6:00 PM. Doors open at 5.

Anyone wanting Masses for next year, please see Fr. Tom before or after Mass. If you have a special date, reserve it now.

FALL FAIR - to be held on Nov. 3rd from 9-2 in the church hall. Theme tables are Christmas, Harvest, Holiday and Children's along with a bake sale and Chinese auction. All tables are in need of donations (including monetary donations). The Children's table asks that NEW games, puzzles, books or stuffed animals be donated. Simply label your donation and leave it in the church hall. All donations are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

2008 Bulletin - we are compiling a list of sponsors/advertisers for next year's bulletin. For a modest price, you can either advertise your business/club or create a message that will be printed each week on the back side of the bulletin. The advertisers help to defray the printing cost of the bulletin for the year. If interested, please see Fr. Tom.

Museum Exhibit - we are looking for pictures, sacramental certificates, programs from past parish events and anything else that we might use in our upcoming exhibit at the Gardner Museum. If anyone has an item of interest, please contact Ann at 978-632-7638. Deadline for submittal is Dec. 16th. The exhibit will be opening in the Spring 2008.
