Good News

Jesus calls us to Him with all our labors and burdens. His yoke is easy and burden light. With all that we do, let us take time out and renew ourselves with the Lord. He is there to help us if we let Him.

We have finished a half year. As we begin the other half, there are many events to look forward to - our centennial celebration in August, our centennial Mass and banquet, Fall Fair, official closing of our centennial on Dec. 7th. With all that is left, we still need help. Please volunteer.

120 CLUB -Weeks 17 & 18

#55 - Norrinne Sadowski#100 - Joe & Helen Gemborys

Please let us know if you are moving or will be away for a lengthy period of time. We have to inform the envelope company.

St. Joseph's Parish will be selling money raffle tickets at the Downtown Sidewalk Sales on Aug. 1 & 2. If you are able to help for an hour or two, either of these days, please call Ann Young (632-7638) or Norrinne Sadowski (632-9425). Any help that you can give is greatly appreciated.

St. Martin's Church Summer Festival - to be help, Sat. July 19th at the Otter River Sportsman's Club. There will be raffles, Chinese auctions, baked goods, theme baskets, activities for the kids and music throughout the day. A chicken barbeque ($7 per person) will be served from noon to 1 PM and other food is available throughout the day. For ticket reservations, call the rectory at 939-5588.

Theme baskets - the committee preparing theme baskets for the centennial church fair in August is asking for donations. Anyone interested in donating an item may contact Adele Peterson (632-3362) or Carolyn Fournier (632-1420).

Box tops for Education - we are collecting "box tops for education." There is a listing of all participating products next to the collection box. Please help us by saving as many box tops as possible and placing them in the collection box on the first landing over the next several weeks. Thank you.

Stewardship of Ministries

If you love your parish and would like to do something to help, then you are the one we are looking for.

  1. We are in need of more Servers. If you made your First Communion then you are perfect for the job.
  2. We need more Greeters. All you have to do is greet parishioners as they enter the church and hand out bulletins.
  3. We need more Lectors. Training will be provided.
  4. We need more Eucharistic Ministers. Training will be provided.
If you think you can help in anyway, either see Fr. Tom or fill out the Stewardship of Ministries form at the back of the church.
