Good News

Jesus tells His disciples to "fear no one." If you do the right things in life, it will be a credit to us. To acknowledge Jesus to others, the Father will acknowledge us in heaven. To deny Jesus, the Father will deny us in heaven.

Next Sunday is the feast of SS Peter & Paul. The Catholic church throughout the world will open a year in honor of St. Paul. We hear what Paul did in his writings and how he became a murderer, and later a man who wrote about Jesus and his faith. Let us open our minds to the thinking of St. Paul and be renewed in our faith.

Next Monday, June 23rd, there will be a meeting of the different ministries in the parish. Mr. Michael Gillespie from the Stewardship and Development Office in the diocese will be present to speak. People in the different ministries from St. Joseph & Holy Spirit are asked to be present. Anyone else who would like to attend is also encouraged. The meeting will take place at St. Joseph church hall at 6:30 PM.

We congratulate all who graduated this year. May the coming years be a time of growth as you make decisions on your careers.

Peter's Pence Collection - the weekend of June 28th & 29th. The proceeds of this appeal fund emergency relief assistance to those who suffer from war, oppression, disease and natural disaster in addition to helping the Holy Father spread the gospel message throughout the world. Please be generous.

Stewardship of Ministries

If you love your parish and would like to do something to help, then you are the one we are looking for.

  1. We are in need of more Servers. If you made your First Communion then you are perfect for the job.
  2. We need more Greeters. All you have to do is greet parishioners as they enter the church and hand out bulletins.
  3. We need more Lectors. Training will be provided.
  4. We need more Eucharistic Ministers. Training will be provided.
If you think you can help in anyway, either see Fr. Tom or fill out the Stewardship of Ministries form at the back of the church.

WELCOME - NEW PARISHIONERS - We are always happy to welcome new people into our parish family. If you have discovered our church and like what you experience, why not become a member? Speak to Fr. Tom after Mass or call the rectory to set up a time that is convenient for you to fill out a simple registration form.
