Good News

The talents and possessions we have in life will not guarantee us eternal life. To invest in the Lord is the best option like the two men in today's gospel. They proved to be worthy to their master. Let us follow the wise rule of life and be productive to the Lord.

CCD NEWS - Sunday Nov. 23rd for all grades. Attendance at the 9:00 AM Mass is mandatory. CCD classes will follow from 10-11 AM for grades 1-10.

100th Anniversary Meeting on Mon. 17th at 6:30 PM in the church hall

Last week's Fall Fair was a huge success. The total profit from all the tables was $2816.00. To all who worked setting up, baking, taking down and cleaning up - THANK YOU. This is STEWARDSHIP.

ONE LAST RAFFLE TO GO - to close out the parish anniversary, a special lottery raffle will be on sale from now to Dec. 7th. On Sun., Dec. 7th, we will have a drawing of the lottery. The price is $10/ticket. Champagne toast after 10:30 AM Mass. The 120 CLUB will resume after the new year.

On Sunday, November 23rd, an Anointing Service will be held at St. Joseph Church at 2 PM. Parishioners of St. Joseph and Holy Spirit are invited to attend.

A collection for The Catholic Campaign for Human Development will be taken up next weekend, Nov. 22-23. CCHD is committed to helping people change the conditions that keep them living in a state of poverty. These compassionate projects support low-income people as they work together to improve educational opportunities, create jobs and improve access to services for the disabled. Please be generous.

The 2009 Mass Book is available for anyone who would like to reserve Mass times for next year. I will be available before and after Masses this weekend. Please reserve your special times early.

FESTIVAL OF TREES - the 4th annual Festival of Trees will be held at Gardner Museum from Nov. 13 - Dec. 6. St. Joseph Parish is sponsoring a tree this year. Please visit the museum and take chances on winning many unique trees.
