Good News

The gospel tells us to pay respect to Jesus and to obey the laws. This is what will get us to heaven. The people of Jesus' day did everything but obey the law. How we conduct ourselves will count for us.

St. Joseph Polish Festival that was held Aug. 16th was a success. To all who worked and supported the festival - thank you. Net income was $6588.00 including donations, tax was $189.70. Net Profit was $6398.30.

The Rosary Sodality will have their first meeting today, Sun., Aug. 30th at 1:30 PM in the church hall. Refreshments will be served.

This week is First Friday of the month. Mass will be at 7:30 AM.

The church parking lot was painted this week with new lines. Please park in the spaces provided. Please DO NOT park in the NO PARKING spaces.

The 120 CLUB will be starting up in a couple of weeks. If you are interested in joining, please see Phyllis before or after Masses.

Yard Sale/Cookout Info: Items for the upcoming yard sale can be dropped off in the church hall before & after weekend Masses. We will not be accepting the following items: No computers, no televisions, no exercise equipment, no clothing, no shoes, no bicycles, no microwaves and no large appliances. Small working appliances accepted. Deadline for donating items is Sept. 14th.

Pancake Breakfast & Harvest Booth at Sacred Heart Church on Sun., Sept. 20th from 6:30 AM - Noon. $5 per person or a family pack of 5 for $20.00.

PASSION PLAY - the Passion Play in Oberammergau, Austria will be held on Aug. 3-11, 2010. The Play is produced every 10 years by the people in the town. It is an experience of a lifetime to see this special play. If you are interested, please read the flyer (located in the back of the church) and fill out the information as soon as possible. An informational meeting will be held on Thurs., Sept. 10th at 7 PM in the church hall.
