Good News

Jesus teaches with authority. All evil spirits obey Him. The people in the synagogue are all amazed at what He says. Jesus cures a person with an unclean spirit. The power of God is always working in those who believe and trust in God.

CCD NEWS - Regular classes will also be held on Feb. 1st and Feb. 8th. Attendance at the 9:00 AM Mass is mandatory. CCD classes will follow from 10-11 AM for grades 1-10.

Holy Rosary Sodality meeting is this Sunday, Feb. 1st at 1:30 PM in the church hall. Refreshments will be served

Monday, February 2nd is the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the temple. Blessed candles will be available after Mass.

Tues, Feb. 3rd is the Feast of St. Blaise. Blessing of throats will take place after Mass at Holy Spirit church. Blessing of throats at St. Joseph will be at 3 PM.

First Friday of the month is this week. Mass will be at 7:30 AM.

There will be a whist party on Sun. Feb. 8th at 1 PM in the church hall.

Parish Council meeting scheduled for Jan. 12th has been re-scheduled to February 9th at 6:30 PM in the church hall.

We will soon be drawing on the 120 club. There are still numbers available. If anyone wants to join, please see Phyllis.

During the season of Lent, we will be participating in the annual Partners in Charity Appeal in the diocese. Lent begins Feb. 25th. More details later.

February is Catholic Press month. For those who subscribe to the Catholic Free Press, your subscription is due this month at $23.00 a year. If anyone wants to become a new subscriber, please submit your envelope.

The Gardner CAC is looking for donations for their pantries to help the needy. If you have any canned goods, leave them off in church.
