Good News

The gospel presents two stories - the first one is Jesus raising Jairus from the dead and the second one is Jesus curing a woman who was suffering from hemorrhages. Both stories are of faith. The people trusted in the Lord and were cured and given life. Let us entrust our lives to the Lord.

This weekend, there will be a collection for Peter's Pence. This annual collection allows the Holy Father to respond quickly to those who suffer as a result of oppression, natural disasters, war and disease. Please be generous.

This coming Monday is the feast of Saints Peter and Paul. This past year, the church celebrated the year of St. Paul. St. Peter was the first Pope and St. Paul was the defender of the Faith. We begin the year of the parish priest. Pray for all priests.

This coming Friday is First Friday of the month. Mass will be at 7:30 AM.

Saturday is the Fourth of July - a day of Independence that our forefathers fought for.

Thank you to all those who donated to the Main Raffle. The total amount on the ticket is $1775.00. Tickets are being handed out this weekend before each Mass. Extra tickets will be available at the back of the church until August 15th.

From Bishop McManus - "I wish to express my gratitude to the parishioners of St. Joseph Parish for your generosity to the Annual Partners in Charity Appeal. As you know, the parish has exceeded its goal. In light of this important accomplishment, I offer my deepest appreciation to you. Your support of 29 charitable, educational and pastoral programs is an excellent witness of your Christian generosity. I am very grateful for the efforts of Fr. Tokarz as well as those who helped to promote the annual appeal in the parish. Thank you."
