Good News

Today's Gospel is that of the Good Shepherd. Jesus, being that Shepherd, gathers all of His flock into one. If one strays, He gathers it into the fold. As Good Shepherd, He leads and guides us. Let us not disappoint Him.

CCD NEWS - Schedule for the remainder of the school year:

Today, Sun. May 3rd, we will begin our annual Forty Hours Devotions after the 10:30 AM Mass. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will follow after Mass until 4 PM. Father Joseph Jurgelonis will preach at 4 PM followed by vespers in English. We will conclude with Benediction. Mon. & Tues., Mass at 7:30 AM will be followed by adoration all day. Come spend some time with the Lord for one (1) hour. Monday evening will be Mass at 7 PM. Tues. evening will conclude the devotions with a homily, litany and procession. Please join us in prayer. We begin the month of May dedicated to the Blessed Mother. Litany will be said everyday after morning Mass.

Next Sun., May 10th, is Mother's Day. We honor all mothers who gave birth and those who have not. They are a special gift from God. May the Blessed Mother keep watch over you. We pray for all deceased mothers of our parish.

Święconka Thank you to all who came and supported last week's Sunday dinner. To all who set up, cleaned and cooked - THANK YOU. To the Rosary Sodality who sponsored the dinner - thank you. Proceeds are $952.97.

Sacred Heart Parish Update - with the recent passing of Fr. Donald Baker at Sacred Heart, the diocese has announced that Fr. Terence Kilcoyne, pastor of St. Edward the Confessor Parish in Westminster, will serve as interim Administrator of Sacred Heart, in addition to his pastoral duties in Westminster. In addition, Fr. Jesus Martinez, former associate pastor of Sacred Heart, has agreed to celebrate Mass at Sacred Heart on a limited basis. It is also hoped that as his health improves, Fr. Gerald Dorais will be able to provide pastoral assistance as well. Let us continue to pray for the parishioners of Sacred Heart during this difficult time.

LAST CHANCE - Partners in Charity - as of this printing, we at St. Joseph, have $6480.00 towards our goal of $7000.00. If anyone who has not yet returned their donation, please do so as soon as possible. Thank you.
