Good News

Today we celebrate the feast of Pentecost -- the birthday of the church. The Holy Spirit who guides the church is what this feast is all about. From the beginnings of the church, the Holy Spirit guided the faithful in all that we do and continues to guide us today.

This coming week is First Friday of the month. Mass is at 7:30 a.m.

Your pastor will be away from Monday through Wednesday for a conference with the bishop and fellow priests. I will return late Wednesday. Pray for me as I pray for you. If you wish to attend morning Mass please go to Holy Rosary at 8:00 a.m.

To the Spanish Community of Gardner, beginning Sat., June 6th, the Spanish Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 6:00 p.m.

Rosary Sodality Meeting on Sunday June 7th at 1:30 in the church hall. This is the last meeting before summer. Refreshments will be served.

I'm sorry to inform the parishioners of St. Joseph and Holy Spirit parishes that our seminarian, Chris Aubrey, was asked to work to that he may earn some money to pay off some of his college tuition. We wish him well and thank him for his service.

I, your pastor, would like to express my sincere THANKS to Mr. Rudy Gronowicz (I'm sure he hears me!) for all the work he did around the parish for many years. He will surely be missed by me. May he rest in peace. He was not only my parishioner, but a very good friend.

St. Joseph Trotters now signing up for the hours you want to walk during the Relay for Life. Please call Ellie (978-630-3079) or Mike (978-632-8457). Also, our scratch ticket raffle will be drawn on June 13th. If you wold like to buy tickers, please see Ellie, Mike, or Phyllis.

Annual Catholic Communication Campaign will take place next weekend, June 6th and 7th. This campaign funds the church's presence on television, the internet and radio. This social media reaches those that are housebound, alone and struggling. Please be generous.
