Good News

Today, the church celebrates the feast of All Saints. All men and women who were found worthy defending the church and dying for Christ are saints. Many are still being added in the Book of Life. Pray to the Saints!

CCD News - Today, Nov. 1, all students will attend the 9:00 a.m. Masas. Grades 1-8 will then meet from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. The same schedule will take place next Sun, Nov. 8.

This Sunday, Nov. 1, a meeting of the Rosary Sodality will be held at 1:30 p.m. in the church hall. Refreshments will be served.

Tomorrow, Nov. 2, is the commemorative of all the Faithful Departed. It is a custom and tradition at St. Joseph to pray for the dead every week. Masses on Monday will be at 7:30 and 7:50 a.m. at St. Joseph and 7:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit. We all have an obligation to pray for the dead.

This Friday is First Friday of the month. Mass will be at 7:30 a.m.

The Rosary Sodality is sponsoring a trip to the LaSallette Shrine in Attleboro, MA, on Tues. Dec 1, to see the Lights at the Shrine. All parishioners and guests are invited. The bus will wilave at 3:00 p.m. from St. Joseph Church. The cost is $16.00 per person. If interested, please sign your name on the table in back of the church by 11/1/09. There is a gift shop and cafeteria on the grounds.

Fall Fair -- St. joseph's Fall Fair will be held Sat., Nov. 7, from 9:00 to 1:00.

Fifth annual Festival of Trees - presented by the Gardner Museum. Again this year, St. Joseph will be sponsoring a tree. The Museum tree exhibit runs from Nov 11 to Dec. 5, Wednesday through Sunday only. There are raffle drawings of the trees, doll houses and baskets to benefit the Museum. Admission is $3.00
