Good News

Jesus observes people putting money in the treasury. One woman gave a few cents - more than she could afford. She gave from her heart. These are tough times, but I ask you as your pastor, if you can afford to give more, it would help the parish. More on this later when you get the financial report.

CCD NEWS - Today, Nov. 8, all students will attend the 9:00 AM Mass. Grades 1-8 will then meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. Next Sunday, Nov. 15th, in addition to the schedule listed above, the Grade 9 & 10 Confirmation Class will meet from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Parish Council meeting on Mon., Nov. 9, at 6:30 PM. All members are asked to attend.

Prizes from the Fall Fair may be picked up on Tues., Nov. 10, from 6-8 PM in the church hall.

This coming Wednesday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day. To all who gave their lives in war - may they share the glory of God in heaven.

120 CLUB - Weeks 3 & 4

5th Annual Festival of Trees - presented by the Gardner Museum. Again this year, St. Joseph will be sponsoring a tree. The Museum tree exhibit runs from Nov. 11 - Dec. 5th, Wed. through Sunday only. 2010 Church Bulletin - this is the time of the year when we contact businesses to advertise in our bulletin to help defray the cost of printing, creating and distributing the weekly bulletin. Because of the tough economic conditions, many of our contacts are either no longer in business or are unable to continue to help us. Consequently, we would like to try something a bit different this year in addition to the business listings. We would like to place a list of names on the bulletin under the headings - "In Memory Of" and "In Honor Of." For the cost of $20.00 per listing, a special family member or friend can be listed on the bulletin for the entire year. If you would like to participate in this endeavor, please provide the information below and drop it into the basket with your $20/listing contribution. It is a great way to honor your loved ones and it will help the parish greatly in defraying the bulletin costs. Please return the slip by Dec. 6th. Thank you so much for helping out.
