Jesus speaks of marriage in today's gospel. He tells His disciples that a man and woman are joined by God in marriage and that they should not be separated. Marriage is a sacrament of love and is blessed by God. "Let no man separate what God joined."

The collection from the Catholic schools taken up last weekend was given to Holy Rosary School in Gardner.

CCD NEWS - CCD will begin today Oct. 4th with all students expected to attend the 9:00 AM Mass at Holy Spirit. Immediately after, at 10:00 AM, there will be a breakfast meeting for parents, students and teachers. On Oct. 11th, there will be no CCD because of Columbus Day weekend.

There will be a WHIST PARTY TODAY, Sun. Oct. 4th at 2 PM in the church hall.

This coming Wed., Oct. 7th is the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. Mass will be at Holy Spirit at 7:30 AM. Pray the rosary daily.

Yard Sale/Cookout Report - Kitchen $219.50, Yard Sale $884.50 for a total of $1104.00. To all who gave, set up, worked and helped to take down - THANK YOU. This event is not easy to do, but to those who took time out of their schedules, you deserve an applause. God bless you and thank you!!

KNOW YOUR FAITH - anyone interested in knowing your faith, your prayers, the church, what we say and do - a series of discussions is being held on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at Holy Spirit Parish Center. Bring your questions and a Bible.

The 120 CLUB - Phyllis will be selling tickets before and after Masses starting this weekend. New members needed.

Anyone who wishes to reserve Masses for the year 2010. Please reserve your dates early. See Fr. Tom before or after Masses in the sacristy. No phone-in calls.

Austrian Trip to see the Passion Play in Oberammergau - anyone wishing to go on the trip next year 2010, the first payment is due Oct. 15th. Please give your payment to Fr. Tom.

Holy Cross Church Flea Market - Sat. & Sun. Oct. 10th & 11th from 9 AM to 2 PM. Refreshments throughout the day. There will be collectibles, dishes, records, baskets, plants, toys, games, etc. Rain or shine.
