Good News

Jesus tells His disciples, "whoever is not with us, is against us." To speak well of the Lord and those whom we meet, will go well for us at the end of time. The devil is all around us trying to be against the Lord, but we must defeat him at all costs.

CCD NEWS - CCD will begin this year on Oct. 4th with all students expected to attend the 9:00 AM Mass at Holy Spirit. Immediately after, at 10:00 AM, there will be a breakfast meeting for parents, students and teachers. On Oct. 11th, there will be no CCD because of Columbus Day weekend.

Anyone wishing to be a member on the parish council, nomination papers are available on the back table in church.

We begin a new month - October. The month of October is dedicated to the Blessed Mother of the Rosary. First Friday is this week. Mass will be at 7:30 AM.

The Rosary Sodality will meet at 10:15AM next Sunday for the Installation Mass followed by a luncheon in the church hall. All members are asked to attend.

Parish council will meet on Mon., Oct. 5th at 6:30 PM in the church hall.

KNOW YOUR FAITH - anyone interested in knowing your faith, your prayers, the church, what we say and do - a series of discussions is being held on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM at Holy Spirit Parish Center. Bring your questions and a Bible.

RCIA classes for persons in need of Baptism, First Communion and /or Confirmation will be on Sunday mornings at 10 AM in the parish center at Holy Spirit. Please call Alma at 978-632-0902.

The 120 CLUB - Phyllis will be selling tickets before and after Masses starting this weekend.

Anyone who wishes to reserve Masses for the year 2010. Please reserve your dates early. See Fr. Tom before or after Masses in the sacristy. No phone-in calls.

Austrian Trip to see the Passion Play in Oberammergau - anyone wishing to go on the trip next year 2010, the first payment is due Oct. 15th. Please give your payment to Fr. Tom.

SAVE THE DATE - Fall Fair - Nov. 7th.

Holy Cross Church Flea Market - Sat. & Sun. Oct. 10th & 11th from 9 AM to 2 PM. Refreshments throughout the day. There will be collectibles, dishes, records, baskets, plants, toys, games, etc. Rain or shine.
