Today's gospel tells us to be exact about the things we do and say. Be sure to mean what we say and do. John the Baptist tells us to be aware of things around us. St. Paul tells us to rejoice always.

Confessions will be held every Sat. at 2:30 PM at St. Joseph's through the Christmas season.

CCD NEWS - Today, Sun Dec. 13th all students will attend 9:00 AM Mass. Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. The Confirmation Class, Grades 9 & 10 & Sponsors, will meet from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Sunday, Dec. 20th, all students will attend 9:00 AM Mass. Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM.

Please note - for those who cannot receive Holy Communion because of a wheat allergy called celiac disease, I have a special low-gluten communion wafer. Please let Fr. Tom know before Mass begins.

Whist party - will be held today, Sun. Dec. 13th at 2 PM in the church hall.

PARISH COUNCIL will meet on Mon., Dec. 14th at 6:30 PM in the church hall. All members are asked to attend.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS - all donations for Christmas flowers must be received no later than the weekend of Dec. 19/20 if you want the name of your loved one(s) listed on our Christmas Flower bulletin.

On Sun., Dec. 20th, a Penance Service will be held at 2PM in Holy Spirit Church. All CCD students must attend except grades 1 & 2. Everyone is invited to attend.

Attention all Singers - we will have a joint choir for the 4:00 PM Christmas Eve Mass at Holy Spirit Church. Rehearsals begin Tues., Dec. 1st at 7:00 PM at Holy Spirit Church. Please let Sharon Sawtell (632-7216) know you will be joining us so there will be sufficient music for all. Look forward to seeing you there! All Are Welcome!!

In the past few weeks, new Heat Tapes have been installed on the side entrances of the church roof to prevent ice from building up. The cost was $3251.15 from the parish account. During the summer, a new kitchen floor and new carpeting was put in the rectory. The old carpet was falling apart. The cost was $9411.35. It was paid from the festival account.

Christmas Mass Schedule - Holy Spirit - 4 PM Vigil Mass and 9 AM Mass Christmas Day. St. Joseph - 7 and 10:30 AM Masses on Christmas Day. NO MIDNIGHT MASS.
