Good News

Jesus is transfigured before Peter, James and John. They see a vision of Moses and Elijah. Jesus tells them not to say anything until He rises from the dead. Jesus wants us to transform our lives in this season of Lent to His life.

CCD NEWS - Today, Sun. Feb. 28, all students will attend 9:00 AM Mass. Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. The Confirmation Class, Grades 9 & 10 with Sponsors, will meet from 10:00 - 1:00 PM. Sun. March 7, Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM.

This week is First Friday of the month. Mass will be at 7:30 AM.

Rosary Sodality meeting on Sun. March 7th at 1:30 PM in the church hall. Refreshment will be served.

During Lent: - on Tues. & Thurs. at 7 PM, a Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Church with confessions following Mass. - the Stations of the Cross will be said every Friday after the 7:30 AM Mass at St. Joseph - on Fridays, Holy Spirit will have a Fish & Chip dinner at 5:30 PM. The price is $9.00. Come join the fun and have a good meal.

Trotter's News - we are currently recruiting walkers for St. Joseph Trotters. Call Ellie (630-3079) or Mike (632-8457).

Partner's in Charity - we begin our annual Partner's in Charity Appeal today. Lent is a time of giving to those who are in need. Partner's helps the diocese with so many agencies and organizations. Please help us make our goal. St. Joseph - $7000.00.

February is Catholic Press Month. If you have not renewed your subscription to the Catholic Free Press, please do so ASAP. It costs only $23.00 a year. This is the last week to subscribe or renew.

Poor Man's Supper (soup & bread) will be held on Sat., March 20 at 6:30 PM in the church hall. Tickets will be on sale this weekend. All proceeds will go to the Relay for Life - St. Joseph Trotters.

For all interested singers, we will meet on Saturdays at the organ from 4:30 - 5:00 for the purpose of learning new songs for Masses.

EASTER CHOIR - the Easter choir will begin rehearsals on Wed., March 3rd at 7 PM to 8:30 PM at St. Joseph Church. All are welcome! Please call Sharon Sawtell (978-632-7216) or see her after Mass if you plan to join. All must contact Sharon so adequate music will be available for all. Hope to see you there!

Candles have been used in chapels and churches for many centuries. If anyone would like to purchase a candle ($5) in remembrance of someone, you may do so. We have candles for Divine Mercy, the Sanctuary candle by the Blessed Sacrament or any of the other candles we burn. If interested, please let Fr. Tom know.
