Good News

Today we celebrate the feast of the Epiphany of the Lord. The three Magi who visit the Christ child bring gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Today we have gifts at the manger - incense and chalk. To your door frames make the sign of 20+K+M+B+10. May the Magi be guests in our homes.

CCD NEWS - Today, Jan. 3rd - no CCD because of Christmas vacation. Sun., Jan. 10th all students will attend 9:00 AM Mass. Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. The Confirmation Class, Grades 9 & 10 & Sponsors, will meet from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM.

Parish Council meeting on Jan. 4th at 6:30 PM in the church hall.

A gift of $250.00 has been given to St. Joseph Parish from the estate of the late Edward Misiewicz. On behalf of St. Joseph Parish, I want to thank Rose his wife. May the Lord bless you always.

As of Jan. 1, 2010, the diocese of Worcester has raised the fee for funeral Masses to $300.00, an increase of $100.00. For people who have pre-paid, the amount of $200.00 stands.

To all who remembered your pastor with cards and gifts at Christmas, thank you and God bless you. Your kindness is appreciated.

Your pastor will be away on vacation from Jan. 11 - 22. Please note that on Sun., Jan. 17th, the 7 AM Mass will be at 8:30 AM because the priest needs to come from Fitchburg. This is only for this one Sunday while I am away.

By the end of January, everyone who has envelopes or who gives on a regular basis will receive your 2009 donation information for tax purposes. If you have any outstanding envelopes, please pass them in as soon as possible.

St. Joseph is looking for someone to clean the church. If anyone is interested, please see Fr. Tom ASAP. Thank you.

Confessions are held every Sat. at 2:30 PM at St. Joseph's.

Tickets for the annual Oplatek or Christmas dinner (a turkey dinner) on Sun., Jan. 10th are on sale for $8.00 per person.
