Good News

Jesus sends out His disciples to look for laborers for the harvest. Many are out there, but not many are responding to the call. Our parishes are looking for laborers to help in the church. Many ministries are offered, but few are taken. Pease consider working for your church.

Today, we celebrate the Fourth of July. Our forefathers fought for our Freedom and Independence. May this day be in remembrance of the New Nation created by our forefathers. The official holiday will be celebrated on Mon., July 5. The Parish Office will be closed.

120 CLUB - Phyllis will be selling tickets before and after Masses.

St. Martin's Summer Festival - Sat., July 17 at the Otter River Sportsman's Club, Lord Rd., Otter River from 10 AM to 3PM. There will be a $7 chicken dinner (please reserve your tickets by calling 939-5588). There will also be theme baskets, a cash raffle, Chinese auction, activities for the children, etc. Enjoy the day!

Interfaith Effort - the churches in Gardner are being invited to participate in an interfaith effort during the Gardner Festival/Sidewalk Days on Aug. 6-7. Those running this effort would like representation at the Gardner congregations tent during any time periods on the two days. If you are interested, please let Father Tom know before July 15th. Sharing our Blessings: An Opportunity for Growth. This fall you will hear and read more about a new program taking place in parishes throughout the diocese. This program, Sharing our Blessings, is an opportunity for all of us to work together to address the most pressing needs in our parish through an increased giving campaign. Our hope is to increase our weekly offertory collections by at least 25%. Sharing our blessings is a program about sacrifice, about giving back to God and about strengthening the future of our faith community. Please be on the lookout for more information about this initiative, which will begin after Labor Day.

WELCOME - NEW PARISHIONERS - We are always happy to welcome new people into our parish family. If you have discovered our church and like what you experience, why not become a member? Speak to Fr. Tom after Mass or call the rectory to set up a time that is convenient for you to fill out a simple registration form.
