Good News

Jesus forgives the woman her sins after she anointed His feet. He tells her not to sin anymore. The gospel reminds us of all we do in life and how to look at life with an open mind and to forgive those around us.

This weekend, June 12 & 13, Sister Margaret Holleran will speak at all Masses for her community and the Columbian sisters. This is our annual Mission Co-op appeal. Please be generous in the second collection.

With summer approaching and vacation, let us not forget our Sunday obligation to attend Mass. Find a church nearby where you can attend. God does not take a vacation, we should not forget Him.

Partners in Charity - From the Bishop's desk - "I wish to express my gratitude to the parishioners of St. Joseph Parish for your generosity to the Annual Partners in Charity Appeal. As you know, the parish has exceeded its goal. In light of this important accomplishment, I offer my deepest appreciation to you."

Polish Picnic - Children's Table: I'm looking for help! Donations of cash, toys or yourself needed. I would like to have games for children, along with a Chinese auction and a few surprises, but "I really need your help." Please call me: Sheila Mailloux 978-939-8920.

4th Annual Spaghetti Dinner at Gardner VFW on June 19 from 5:00-7:30 PM. $7.00 for adults, $3.00 for children under 7 and $5.00 for Seniors. Chinese auction, Red Sox ticket raffle, 50/50 raffle and silent auction. All proceeds go to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

37th Annual Festival on June 18 & 19 for the benefit of St. Joseph School at 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA. Money raffle, Polish food, live music, games, garage sale, etc. Call 508-943-0467 for more info.

BASKET RAFFLE: If you would like to donate items or a complete medium-sized basket for our annual picnic on Aug. 15th, please sign the paper in the vestibule. Any questions please call Mary Ann (632-8896) or Carolyn (632-1420). Thank you.

Sharing our Blessings: An Opportunity for Growth. This fall you will hear and read more about a new program taking place in parishes throughout the diocese. This program, Sharing our Blessings, is an opportunity for all of us to work together to address the most pressing needs in our parish through an increased giving campaign. Our hope is to increase our weekly offertory collections by at least 25%. Sharing our blessings is a program about sacrifice, about giving back to God and about strengthening the future of our faith community. Please be on the lookout for more information about this initiative, which will begin after Labor Day.

WELCOME - NEW PARISHIONERS - We are always happy to welcome new people into our parish family. If you have discovered our church and like what you experience, why not become a member? Speak to Fr. Tom after Mass or call the rectory to set up a time that is convenient for you to fill out a simple registration form.
