Today's gospel is that of the fig tree. Jesus sees that it does not produce fruit - cut it down. The gardener insists to water and feed the tree. If it takes and grows to produce fruit, we will keep it, if it doesn't bear fruit, cut it down. We are like this tree - we must keep growing and produce.
CCD NEWS - Today, Sun. March 7, all students will attend the 9:00 Mass. Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM. Sun. March 14, Grades 1-8 will meet from 10:00 - 11:30 AM, Confirmation class Grades 9 & 10 will meet from 4-7 PM.
There is a Parish Council meeting on Mon. March 8 at 6:30 PM in the church hall.
Confessions are heard every Saturday afternoon at 2:30 PM at St. Joseph Church.

2010 CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES COLLECTION - next weekend, March 13 & 14 a collection will be taken up to assist people in need throughout the world. This charitable contribution helps the poor and dispossessed. Please be generous.

Partner's in Charity - we began our annual Partner's in Charity Appeal last weekend. Lent is a time of giving to those who are in need. Partner's helps the diocese with so many agencies and organizations. Please help us make our goal. St. Joseph - $7000.00.
Poor Man's Supper (soup & bread) will be held on Sat., March 20 at 6:30 PM in the church hall. Tickets will be on sale this weekend. All proceeds will go to the Relay for Life - St. Joseph Trotters. Baked goods appreciated.
For all interested singers, we will meet on Saturdays at the organ from 4:30 - 5:00 for the purpose of learning new songs for Masses.
EASTER CHOIR - the Easter choir will begin rehearsals on Wed., March 3 at 7 PM to 8:30 PM at St. Joseph Church. All are welcome! Candles have been used in chapels and churches for many centuries. If anyone would like to purchase a candle ($5) in remembrance of someone, you may do so. We have candles for Divine Mercy, the Sanctuary candle by the Blessed Sacrament or any of the other candles we burn. If interested, please let Fr. Tom know.
