Good News

"The Son of Man is glorified in God and God is glorified in Him." To know and follow the Lord is to love Him. Jesus tells His disciples to love one another as He loved them.

We begin the month of May this Saturday. May is dedicated to the Blessed Mother. The litany will be said after morning Mass.

First Communion - Today, May 2, First Communion will be celebrated at the 9:00 a.m. Mass at Holy Spirit and the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph. Five children will receive Jesus for the first time. Please pray for them and their families. St. Joseph will have two children, Grace Wyson and Autumn Hoyt. Both girls will crown the Virgin Mary statue during Mass.

CONFIRMATION CLASS - rehearsal for Confirmation will take place on Sun., May 2, at 6:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Church. All candidates and sponsors MUST attend the rehearsal.

On Monday, May 3, Bishop Rueger will confirm 26 people from St. Joseph and Holy Spirit parishes at 7:00 p.m. in St. Joseph Church. Candidates and sponsors are asked to be in the church hall no later than 6:30 p.m.

Choir rehearsal - singers are needed for our Eucharistic Day on May 9 (Mother's Day). Special devotions (in place of 40 hours) will take place at 4:00 p.m. Rehearsal will be on Thurs., May 6, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Church. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Next Sunday is Mother's Day. To all mothers, may the Blessed Mother keep watch over you and bless you. After the 10:30 a.m. Mass, we will have Expositon of the Blessed Sacrament until 4:00 p.m. Our Eucharistic Day will conclude with a homily and Benediction and special prayers. Spend some time with Jesus in the Eucharist.
