Jesus tells us to renounce everything if we want to be His disciple. Many things we possess we cherish and hold onto. Jesus says to take up our cross and follow after Him. If we do so, we will inherit the kingdom of God.
Rosary Sodality meeting will take place on Sun., Sept. 5, at 1:30 PM in the church hall. The meeting is for next month's Installation of Officers. Refreshments will be served. All members are asked to attend.
This coming Monday is Labor Day. The parish office will be closed. To all who work and support one another, this day is for you. Enjoy the time off.
This coming Wed., Sept. 8, is the birth of the Blessed Mother. Mass will be at 7:30 AM.
With school starting and all organizations in the parish, we begin our annual meetings for the benefit of the parish. We are always looking for volunteers to help out.
Parish council meeting will take place on Monday, Sept. 13 at St. Joseph church hall. All members are asked to attend at 6:30 PM.
During this past week, St. Joseph Parish received a gift of $24,977.15 from the estate of the late Jadwiga Zemak. She was a parishioner for many years at St. Joseph. We thank her for this kindness and may she share the joys of heaven forever. The money was put into the diocesan bank account in St. Joseph's name.
HOLY SPIRIT FAIR - On Sat., Sept. 18, Holy Spirit will have their annual fair on the church grounds. There will be raffles, a flea market, children's tables, etc. The chicken BBQ is $9.00 for adults, $5.00 for children. For more info., call Ann Mari at 978-630-1110.
Sharing the Blessings: Sharing our blessings is a program about sacrifice, about giving back to God and about strengthening the future of our faith community. More information will follow in the coming weeks.
Fall Fair Arts and Crafts - thanks to some very talented people, our table has always had beautiful knitted and crocheted items. We would like to add to our selection. I know that we must have talented wood workers, painters, seamstresses and maybe even potters or doll makers and other crafters among our parishioners.
